Those who are trying to learn singing from a professional vocal coach want to succeed in their chosen career. Who doesn’t? Becoming a successful singing start is the ultimate goal for all singers and the obvious benefits is the money they earn. It does help a great deal that they have a naturally blessed singing voice. But how come others who are not as good or as attractive are more successful? What is it in them that the people like?

The first thing to note is the social media used to their advantage. Look into Facebook and Twitter, especially the latter.

Most of Hollywood and the very famous singers have a Twitter following by the millions from all over the world. The social media gets those stars connected in a personal level with their millions of fans. The fans who follow feel that if they could respond to their stars on Twitter or FB, they are actually friends, and they are.

On Facebook alone, Taylor Swift is up close and personal with her millions of fans worldwide. For a country singer who is only supposed to have an American following, she has crossed the borders successfully, even into Asia and her millions of young fans. Who would ever have thought that Asians would love country, Taylor Swift Style, but they do and that is thanks to her personal connection with the fan base. This writer checked it out and made a comment on the wall – she actually responded, or at least her representative did. And that is a thrill to the fans.

If you are just starting out your career, use FB and Twitter to look for jobs. There are many recruiters and job search sites on these social media pages and they usually give live updates of new roles up for auditions and such. In the past, the singers had to rely on the word of mouth and newspapers and that took up a lot of time. With the social media it is real-time and gives the singers a chance to prepare.

For others, promoting their work is a great way to make people know who they are. These singers put up their websites and start blogging their hearts out, telling people who they are, what they are and all sorts of information. This helps recruiters to find out more about the singer who is auditioning better than any CVA and profile picture.

So go get started and use what is offered up for free to jumpstart your career – use the social media to your advantage. Chop, chop!
